Frequently Asked Questions
When all four cartridges are being changed, what is the sensible way to work through the swap?
One position at a time, start to finish: open the machine, take out the old cartridge, prepare and seat its replacement, close up, and only then move to the next color. Working position by position on the WorkCentre 7345 keeps every cartridge matched to its labeled slot and leaves no loose boxes competing for space on top of the machine.
What preparation does each new cartridge need before it goes in?
Take it out of its packaging, give it a few gentle side-to-side rocks so the powder inside sits level rather than packed at one end, and pull the sealing strip fully out in one steady motion. A cartridge fitted with its seal half-drawn or its powder still clumped will print unevenly for its first pages, through no fault of the toner itself.
How do we confirm each box holds the cartridge its slot expects?
Read the numbers before any seal is broken: black is 006R01175, cyan is 006R01176, magenta is 006R01177 and yellow is 006R01178. The cartridge coming out of the machine carries the same number on its label, so a ten-second comparison at each position makes a wrong fit effectively impossible.
Why can the first prints after a full swap look slightly unsettled?
Fresh toner needs a few pages to distribute evenly, and the machine runs its own calibration as new cartridges settle in. Print a short run of ordinary pages before judging anything important; by the end of that run the output should be at full, even strength in all four colors.
How much work does the newly fitted set put in front of the machine?
The black cartridge is rated at approximately 26,000 pages, and the cyan, magenta and yellow cartridges at approximately 16,000 pages apiece under standard test coverage. In a typical office mix, that is a long stretch of printing before any position asks for attention again.
What protection comes with the set?
A 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, with the details on our shipping and returns page. Sets are dispatched from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, support answers Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and the full Xerox lineup is collected on the brand page.
