Our 7346 is being retired with cartridges from this set still sealed — what are our options?

How do we prove the spare boxes really belong to this machine family before handing them over?
Read the labels: the set is black 006R01175, cyan 006R01176, magenta 006R01177 and yellow 006R01178. Those numbers are the machine family's cartridge identity — any copier on the compatibility list that shows the same numbers on its installed cartridges can use the spares, and any that does not, cannot.
Can the set wait in storage until a replacement machine is chosen?
