One color has gone wrong on our prints — how do we pin down which cartridge is to blame?
Print the machine's color test page and look at the four solid bands. The band that streaks, fades or drops out names the faulty position: a weak black band points at the black cartridge, a broken blue band at the cyan, and so on. On the WorkCentre 7335 each color is its own cartridge, so a single bad band rarely means the whole set has failed — but fitting this full set replaces the suspect and the three aging companions behind it in the same visit.
Which number belongs in which slot?
Black takes 006R01175, cyan takes 006R01176, magenta takes 006R01177 and yellow takes 006R01178. The slots are labeled and keyed so a cartridge only seats where it belongs; matching the number on the box to the number on the old cartridge's label before you pull the seal removes any guesswork.
How much printing does each cartridge in the set carry?
The black cartridge is rated at roughly 26,000 pages and each of the cyan, magenta and yellow cartridges at roughly 16,000 pages, measured at standard test coverage. A machine that lives on text documents will spend the black rating first; the color figures are what govern on presentation and graphics work.
We fitted a fresh cartridge and the same band still looks wrong — what then?
Run a handful of pages first, because new toner needs a few prints to work evenly through the machine. If the identical fault sits in the identical place after that, the cartridge was probably not the culprit — the cause lies elsewhere in the machine and is a service question rather than a toner one.
