Frequently Asked Questions
Several people share our C2636 and none of us is technical — how hard is a cartridge change?
Deliberately simple. The machine announces which color is finished; you open the front, lift out the named cartridge and seat its replacement. Because each position accepts only its own color, the practical skill is reading the part number on the box — 006R01175 for black, 006R01176 for cyan, 006R01177 for magenta, 006R01178 for yellow — and matching it to the slot the panel is asking about.
Why order by number instead of just asking for "the yellow one"?
Numbers cannot be misread under office lighting the way toner colors can, and a number pins the cartridge to this exact machine family. Anyone on the team — including whoever orders next year, long after this page is forgotten — can verify a box in seconds: if it does not say 006R01176, 006R01177, 006R01178 or 006R01175, it does not belong in the CopyCentre C2636 cupboard.
The name says "Premium Quality" — are we paying extra for that?
No. The price is $321.67, the same as the standard-named listing for this machine, and the cartridges, yields and warranty are the same too. The wording is part of the listing's title, not a surcharge and not a different product; the four numbers above are what you are buying, whichever title you arrived from.
What should we do with the empty cartridge we take out?
Set it aside in the new cartridge's box until the replacement has printed cleanly for a few days. That keeps a tidy swap-back trail if a question ever arises, and after that the empties can leave with your office's usual recycling or disposal run. Keeping the box also keeps the part number on file for the next order.
How much printing is in a set for a shared machine like ours?
The black cartridge is rated at approximately 26,000 pages and the cyan, magenta and yellow at approximately 16,000 pages each, at standard coverage. On a shared machine the black gauge is the one to watch — many hands print many memos — while the colors, used by fewer jobs, tend to last well beyond the black's change date.
Who do we call, and what cover do we have, if something goes wrong?
The set is backed by a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, explained on our shipping and returns page, and the support team answers Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST. Orders are sent from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, and other models in the building can be matched through the Xerox brand page.
About This Xerox CopyCentre C2636 Premium Quality 4 Color Set
Built for a machine that many hands rely on, this $321.67 set puts one clearly numbered cartridge in reserve for every position of the CopyCentre C2636: 006R01175 black (approximately 26,000 pages), 006R01176 cyan, 006R01177 magenta and 006R01178 yellow (approximately 16,000 pages each). The routine it enables is the real feature — the panel names a color, anyone on the team matches the number, and the shared copier is back at work in minutes.
