Frequently Asked Questions
What cartridges fit the Oki C8800dn?
The C8800dn takes black 43487733, cyan 43487734, magenta 43487735, and yellow 43487736. The dn in the name means duplex plus network, which does not change the cartridge set.
Can the C8800dn print envelopes without wasting color toner?
Yes. Print envelopes in black-only mode through the manual feed so the color cartridges stay idle. This keeps the 43487734 through 43487736 cartridges full for jobs that need color.
Why does the C8800dn reject a cartridge that looks identical to the old one?
Oki cartridges are keyed by family, so a similar-looking cartridge from a different number series will not seat or register correctly. Verify the cartridge is one of 43487733 through 43487736.
