Frequently Asked Questions
Which cartridges fit the Oki C8600DN?
The C8600DN uses black 43487733, cyan 43487734, magenta 43487735, and yellow 43487736, the same set as the C8600 and C8800dn. The DN suffix adds duplex and networking only.
My C8600DN duplex color pages have ghost images. What causes that?
Ghosting usually comes from a worn drum or fuser, not the toner cartridges. Check the drums if ghosting follows a pattern. Low toner causes fading, not ghost images.
How do I print black-only on the C8600DN to save color toner?
Select grayscale or black-and-white in the driver before printing. The printer then uses only the 43487733 black cartridge, leaving the three color cartridges untouched.
