Frequently Asked Questions
What cartridges does the Oki C8600 take?
The C8600 uses black 43487733, cyan 43487734, magenta 43487735, and yellow 43487736, the same set as the C8600DN and C8800dn. One four-cartridge set covers these models.
My C8600 prints have white gaps in color areas. What is the cause?
White gaps in color areas often mean a color cartridge is running dry, so check the 43487734 through 43487736 levels. If a cartridge was just replaced, remove and reseat it to ensure proper toner flow.
Can I mix old and new cartridges in the C8600?
Yes. Each color is independent, so a new cartridge works fine alongside older ones. Replace only the depleted color rather than the whole set.
