Frequently Asked Questions
What toner cartridges does the C8600N use?
The C8600N uses four individual toner cartridges — black (43487733), cyan (43487734), magenta (43487735) and yellow (43487736). Each color is replaced on its own when it runs out.
How can I keep color printing costs down on the C8600N?
Print everyday documents in black only on the C8600N so the cyan, magenta and yellow cartridges last longer, and keep a spare black (43487733) on hand since it runs out first. Genuine OKI toner also avoids the reprints and mess that bargain cartridges can cause.
When one color runs out in the C8600N, must I change the rest too?
No. The C8600N tracks black, cyan, magenta and yellow separately, so a single empty cartridge never forces you to throw away the other three.
