Frequently Asked Questions

What toner fits the Oki C5400tn?

The C5400tn uses the 42804501 (black), 42804502 (cyan), 42804503 (magenta) and 42804504 (yellow) cartridges — the same family as the C5300 and C5450 series.

What does the “tn” in C5400tn mean?

It denotes the configuration: t for an extra paper tray and n for network connectivity. The toner set is unchanged from the base C5400 — 42804501 through 42804504 fit every C5400 variant.

My C5400tn prints black text with thin white lines — what is wrong?

Thin white lines through black text usually mean the LED printhead for black is partially blocked — power off the printer and gently wipe the LED array with a soft, dry cloth. If the lines persist after cleaning and the 42804501 black cartridge still has toner, the black image drum may be scratched and due for replacement.
