Frequently Asked Questions
Which toner does the Oki MB460 use?
The MB460 uses toner cartridge 43979101 with the 43979201 image drum as a separate unit. When prints fade, replace the toner. When you see repeating defects, replace the drum.
My MB460 scans look fine but copies are streaked. Why?
Since scans are clean, the scanner is fine and the problem is in printing. Check the toner level and the drum. Streaks on copies but not scans always point to the print engine, not the scanner.
How do I know whether my MB460 needs the 43979101 or the 43979201?
Faded or light printing means the 43979101 toner is running out. Repeating marks at fixed intervals mean the 43979201 image drum is worn. The printer status page reports the remaining life of each.
