Frequently Asked Questions

How far do this MC361 set's page ratings actually go?

The black cartridge is rated up to 3,500 pages and each color — cyan, magenta, yellow — up to 3,000 pages, all at 5% coverage. Think of it in reams: about seven reams of black-and-white documents from the black, and about six reams of color work from each color. On the Oki MC361, copying counts too, so a copy-heavy office will land below those ceilings faster than a print-only office.

Does "Premium Quality" add pages or cost to this set?

Neither, and we will say so straight. This Premium Quality set is $64.38, the identical price to the standard MC361 set, with identical yield ratings. The label does not unlock extra toner. What you are buying is a complete four-cartridge refresh — replacing Oki numbers 44469801, 44469701, 44469702 and 44469703 — at about $16.10 per cartridge, whichever listing name you came in through.

Why does one color always seem to run out first?

Because color use is never even. A company logo in blue burns cyan on every letterhead; marketing pieces lean on magenta and yellow. The cartridge that depletes first is simply the one your documents use most, and it will differ from office to office. Owning the full set means the early finisher can be swapped the day it empties while the others keep working toward their own ratings.

Can I install the cartridges one at a time?

Yes. Each cartridge is its own sealed unit, and the MC361 tracks them separately. Replace only the empty one and keep the rest boxed as spares. There is no requirement — technical or otherwise — to change all four together, and swapping a color that still has a thousand pages left in it just throws those pages away.

What else does this cartridge family fit?

The four numbers behind this set — 44469801, 44469701, 44469702 and 44469703 — are also listed for the Oki C330dn, C331dn, C530dn and C531dn, and for the MC362W, MC562w, MC890 and MC950. If your MC361 shares an office with any of those, a single stocked set covers both machines.

How are returns handled on a compatible set?

Simply: free returns for a full year, alongside a 1-year warranty, with the process laid out on our shipping & returns page. These are compatible cartridges rather than Oki-branded ones. Shipments leave from our warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, and our support team works Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST. Browse more supplies on the Okidata page.
