Frequently Asked Questions

How should I store the spare cartridges from this MB451W 5-pack?

Leave each cartridge in its sealed packaging, flat, in a cool and dry spot — a supply cupboard at normal room temperature is ideal. Keep them out of direct sunlight and away from heaters or damp storage rooms, and they will sit happily until their turn comes. When you open one, use the oldest stock first.

What does the pack do to my cost per page?

The pack is $108.88 for five 44992405 cartridges — about $21.78 each, against $36.57 for the same cartridge singly. Across the pack's combined rating of roughly 7,500 pages, that works out to around 1.45 cents per page instead of about 2.44 cents. Bought one at a time, the same five cartridges would cost $182.85, so the pack saves $73.97.

My MB451W is on a network — does that change how fast toner gets used?

The cartridge cannot tell how a job reached the printer, but networked printers tend to serve more people, and more people means more pages. If several colleagues print to your MB451W, expect its 1,500-page rating per cartridge to be consumed noticeably faster than a personal printer's would be — which is exactly the usage pattern a 5-pack suits.

Do I have to use the cartridges in any particular order?

No — the five units are identical, so any cartridge can go in next. Installing them strictly one at a time, only when the current one is spent, gives you the full rated life from each and keeps the rest sealed and fresh.

What if one cartridge in the middle of the pack is defective?

Every cartridge carries the same one-year warranty and one-year free returns, whether it came from a single box or a multi-pack; the terms are on our shipping & returns page. Set the faulty unit aside, fit the next one, and contact support — the pack does not have to be returned as a whole.

How quickly will the pack reach me?

Orders are dispatched from our warehouses in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California, so the pack travels from whichever location is best placed for your address. If you need an exact delivery estimate for your ZIP code, support can help Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.

About This MB451W 5-Pack

A five-cartridge box of compatible 44992405 black toner for the Okidata MB451W: $108.88 in total, about $21.78 per cartridge versus $36.57 bought singly — a $73.97 saving — with each unit rated at up to 1,500 pages (roughly 7,500 pages and 1.45 cents a page across the box). Aimed at networked printers that serve a whole desk cluster rather than one person, it turns toner into a twice-a-year chore instead of a monthly one. Other supplies for the series are on the Okidata brand page.
