The MagiColor 1680 is the printer-only 1680 — same color engine as the 1680MF without the copy/scan/fax hardware. Simpler machine, same A0V3 cartridge family: high-capacity A0V301F black with A0V306F/A0V30CF/A0V30HF colors, or standard colors for light use. Our compatible A0V3 cartridges fit every 1680 variant.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use MagiColor 1600 cartridges in the MagiColor 1680?
Yes - the 1680 uses the same A0V cartridge family as the 1600: A0V301F black and the standard/high color pairs. If you upgraded from a 1600, leftover stock carries over.
My 1680 prints grayish blacks - is the A0V301F black cartridge failing?
Weak black output can mean the black cartridge is low, but first check you are not printing in a toner-save or draft mode, which deliberately lightens output. If settings are normal and black is still gray, replace the A0V301F.
The 1680 says two colors are low - should I replace both now or one at a time?
Replace both now if you have the cartridges - running errands twice wastes more time than the cartridges cost. But never replace a color that still shows adequate toner just to do them as a set; each A0V slot is independent.
