WorkForce Pro WF-3823

Epson WorkForce Pro WF-3823 printer

The WorkForce Pro WF-3823 takes the same 822 cartridge family as its WF-3820 sibling — four individual DURABrite Ultra pigment cartridges, stocked here in high-capacity form: black (T822XL120), cyan (T822XL220), magenta (T822XL320) and yellow (T822XL420), up to 1,100 pages each. WF-3823 Ink — The Full 822 Shelf

Epson's product data places the WF-3823 in the 822 roster directly: its own printer record names the compatible cartridge as T822, and the 822XL cartridge sheets list it among the six US models. The yields are the family's: standard 822 at 350 pages black / 240 per colour, 822XL at 1,100 pages in every colour (ISO/IEC 24711) — stocked here as T822XL120 black, T822XL220 cyan, T822XL320 magenta and T822XL420 yellow, DURABrite Ultra pigment throughout.

A paperwork quirk worth knowing, because it confuses careful shoppers: Epson America's 822XL fact sheet prints a five-model "for use with" list and leaves the WF-3823 off it, while Epson's cartridge product data and the WF-3823's own record both include it. The printer record governs — the WF-3823 is an 822 printer, and every cartridge on this page is its cartridge. Nothing here fits an 812 or a 232 printer.

Which 822XL should you buy?

One colour ran out: replace just that colour — black, cyan, magenta and yellow singles — black $25.49, cyan $22.49, magenta $22.49, yellow $22.49.
Full refresh: the Set of 4 ($83.94) replaces all four positions in one box.
Stocked shelf: the Set of 9 ($175.37) stocks three blacks and two of each colour for offices that print every day.

Chip, ink and everyday use

Every cartridge carries a new compatible chip with ink-level reporting, so each position reads normally. Epson's documentation for this family is plain that the printer is designed for genuine Epson cartridges and that firmware updates may affect third-party ink; reseat and restart first if a warning follows an update. Our lifetime warranty stands behind every cartridge, with free returns for the first year. The DURABrite Ultra pigment ink comes out dry and resists smudging on everyday office paper. Singles for the colour that's low, the Set of 4 for a full reset, or the Set of 9 bulk box.
