ET-5850 Ink Bottles — 4-Color All-Pigment, Per Epson's Spec Epson's ET-5850 page describes its printing technology as "4-color all-pigment" and its ink type as DURABrite pigment ink, with the same pigment-only warning as its ET-5800 sibling: dye ink may cause damage outside the warranty. Replacement ink: 542 Black (127 mL) and 542 Color (70 mL), yields 7,500 / 6,000 (ISO/IEC 24712).
Offices choose this class of printer for output that behaves like laser work — text and colour graphics that resist water and handling. Keeping it that way is an ink decision: 542 pigment bottles, in the right tanks, at the right ratings.
