ET-16600 Ink — Wide Format, Same 542 Bottles

The EcoTank Pro ET-16600 is the wide-format member of the Pro line; it appears by name in Epson's official EcoTank Pro ink materials and in the 542 bottle page's Works With list, with the family's standard replacement spec. The ink is the Epson 542 family — DURABrite ET pigment in all four positions: the black bottle (T542120) holds 127 mL rated up to 7,500 pages, and the cyan (T542220), magenta (T542320) and yellow (T542420) bottles hold 70 mL each at up to 6,000 pages per colour (ISO/IEC 24712, Epson methodology). Pigment everywhere is the family's defining trait: sharp text, and colour that resists water, smudging and fading far better than dye.

Wide-format output drinks colour faster than letter pages do, so ET-16600 owners tend to cycle the colour bottles ahead of the black — singles exist for exactly that rhythm, and the set resets the whole system before a big run. A naming caution: the ET-16500 you may see in some listings is a different, older model running a different ink system altogether. This page is for the ET-16600 only.

Refilling with pigment ink — and only pigment

These printers are explicit about their ink: Epson's wording on its flagship Pro models is that the machine is designed for use with pigment inks only, and that dye ink may cause damage not covered by warranty. So the refill rule on this shelf is absolute — 542 pigment bottles, in the right tanks. The keyed EcoFit nozzles make the mechanics easy (each bottle seats only on its own tank and stops at full), and the bottles are chipless.
