One box that runs a business printer fleet: the complete 542 set — T542120-S black (127 mL) plus T542220-S cyan, T542320-S magenta and T542420-S yellow (70 mL each) — all four in DURABrite ET pigment ink, the all-pigment formula that defines this family. Epson's own summary of a replacement set: "enough ink to print up to 7,500 pages black / 6,000 color."
Yields are stated per color, never added together: black up to 7,500 pages; each color up to 6,000 (ISO/IEC 24712, Epson methodology). Tanks empty at office rates — black first, colors behind it — and any listing that sums the set into one giant number is selling arithmetic. What the set delivers is a full reset of a pigment system: every tank full, color accuracy restored, and a spare cycle of ink between orders.
The set matters disproportionately for this family because the ink chemistry is non-negotiable. These twelve printers — EcoTank Pro ET-5150, ET-5170, ET-5180, ET-5800, ET-5850, ET-5880, ET-16600, ET-16650 and WorkForce ST-C5000, ST-C5500, ST-C8000, ST-C8090 — are pigment-only machines in Epson's own specification; dye bottles from the home EcoTank lines are the wrong ink, not a budget alternative. One 542 set on the shelf covers every model in the range, wide-format included.
Each bottle keeps the EcoFit design — keyed nozzle per position, auto-stop fill, no chips. All four are covered by our lifetime warranty, with free returns for a year.

Frequently Asked Questions
What exactly is in the box?
Four pigment bottles: 1 × T542120-S Black (127 mL), 1 × T542220-S Cyan, 1 × T542320-S Magenta, 1 × T542420-S Yellow (70 mL each) — all DURABrite ET pigment ink. The contents table is printed on the box front.
How many pages does the set print?
Per color, never totaled: black up to 7,500 pages; cyan, magenta and yellow up to 6,000 pages each (ISO/IEC 24712, Epson methodology). Each tank is consumed at its own rate.
Which printers does the set fit?
All twelve 542 models: EcoTank Pro ET-5150, ET-5170, ET-5180, ET-5800, ET-5850, ET-5880, ET-16600, ET-16650 and WorkForce ST-C5000, ST-C5500, ST-C8000, ST-C8090.
Our office runs an ET-5850 and an ST-C5500. One set for both?
Yes — both are 542 machines, as is every Pro and ST-C model on this page. One shelf of 542 ink covers the mixed fleet; heavy sites simply keep two sets.
Is this a genuine Epson multi-pack?
No — and note that Epson doesn't sell a genuine BCMY 4-pack for this family (its official multi-pack is the CMY 3-pack, T542520-S). This is the Clever Supplies compatible set of all four bottles, labeled as compatible.
Why not just buy dye bottles for the colors?
Because these printers are specified for pigment inks only — Epson warns dye ink may cause damage not covered by its warranty. Every bottle in this set is pigment, as specified.
Do any bottles have chips?
None. Refills are mechanical — keyed nozzle, auto-stop — so no bottle can trigger a recognition error.
Black will run out before the colors. Then what?
Reorder the black single (T542120-S). The set is for full resets and new-printer setups; singles handle the in-between cycles.
Can I use part of the set now?
Yes. Refill what's low, store the rest sealed, upright, at room temperature and out of sunlight.
What if one bottle in the set is faulty?
The lifetime warranty covers every bottle individually — a single bad bottle is replaced on its own; you don't return the set.
Does it fit the ET-16500?
No. Despite the name, the ET-16500 belongs to the 664/774 system (774 black, 664 colors). The 542 wide-format models are the ET-16600 and ET-16650 — check the full model badge.
Returns?
Free returns within the first year, on top of the lifetime warranty on all four bottles.
