Frequently Asked Questions

What is actually inside this 3 color set — and what is not included?

The box holds one cartridge of each color: a cyan 006R01176, a magenta 006R01177 and a yellow 006R01178. That is the complete color side of the machine in a single order, with each unit carrying the code for the bay it belongs in. There is no black cartridge in this set. Black for this platform is a separate listing, so if your black supply is also running low it needs to be ordered on its own — this set refreshes color only.

Why renew all three colors together instead of replacing them months apart?

Because these machines never print a color from a single cartridge. Every blue, red, green and photograph tone is a mixture, and a mixture is only as accurate as its weakest ingredient. Fit one fresh cartridge beside two tired ones and the new color is masked by the fading of the others, so output stays slightly off and the real culprit is hard to spot. Starting the 006R01176, 006R01177 and 006R01178 from full at the same time resets that balance: color comes back even, predictable and matched across all three layers.

Our colors never empty at the same rate — does a set still make sense?

Yes, and uneven use is exactly what the set is built to handle. A department printing red-heavy covers drains magenta first; a team printing charts and diagrams can drain cyan or yellow sooner. Buying the three together does not mean fitting all three on the same day. Fit the cartridge that has actually run out, keep the other two sealed in the box as shelf stock, and fit each one as its turn comes — the set works as a small, correctly matched stock of color rather than a single forced changeover.

How should the 45,000-page figure for this set be read?

Each cartridge in the set is rated at 15,000 pages for its own color layer — 15,000 from the 006R01176 cyan, 15,000 from the 006R01177 magenta and 15,000 from the 006R01178 yellow. Added together, that is 45,000 pages of combined coverage across the three cartridges. Read that total as combined coverage only: it is not the yield of any single cartridge, and real output will vary with how much of each color your pages actually lay down, since a dense full-color page draws far more toner than a page with a small color chart or logo.

Which CopyCentre and WorkCentre models is this set made for?

This set serves the shared color platform in this listing: the CopyCentre C2128, CopyCentre C2636 and CopyCentre C3545, the WorkCentre 7328, WorkCentre 7335, WorkCentre 7345 and WorkCentre 7346, and the WorkCentre C2128, WorkCentre C2636 and WorkCentre C3545. Before you order, check the codes on the color cartridges already in your machine: they should read 006R01176, 006R01177 and 006R01178, matched color for color.

What warranty, returns and support cover this set?

The set is covered by a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, so if any one of the three cartridges arrives faulty or fails early, that unit is replaced or refunded under the same cover. Orders are sent from one of our four US warehouses in IL, PA, GA or CA, and the full terms are set out on our shipping & returns page. If you would like help checking the codes before you buy, our support team is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and the rest of the range for these machines is in our Xerox catalogue.
