Frequently Asked Questions

We print almost entirely in black — so why is it the magenta that ran out?

It surprises a lot of offices. Plenty of "black" pages are not pure black at all: documents with photos, shaded tables or rich-black headings quietly lay colour underneath the text, and every one of those pages sips from the 106R02757. Add the small amounts colour machines use during their routine self-cleaning, and a magenta cartridge can empty in an office that swears it never prints in colour.

One cartridge, five different machines — which ones exactly?

On the printer side it feeds the two Phasers — the Phaser 6022 and its network twin, the Phaser 6022ni. On the multifunction side it covers three WorkCentres: the WorkCentre 6020, the WorkCentre 6025 and the WorkCentre 6027ni. Whichever badge is on the front panel, the magenta slot takes this same supply.

How do I confirm magenta is the faded colour before I order?

Run the machine's colour test page and study the magenta block. A healthy cartridge lays it down as one even, saturated slab; a dying one leaves it pale, patchy or streaked from edge to edge. That thirty-second test separates a toner problem from a settings problem, and it keeps you from replacing a cartridge that still has life in it.

What is the running cost of this cartridge?

The sticker is $25.22 and the standard rating is up to 1,000 pages, which divides out to roughly 2.52 cents per page at the coverage the industry uses for ratings. Print mostly letters and the real figure drifts lower, because those pages use a fraction of the test coverage; print photo-heavy sheets and it drifts the other way. The rating is a yardstick, not a meter reading.

The level gauge still shows a quarter left — should I order now?

If the machine is one you cannot afford to have out of colour, yes. Supply gauges are estimates, and the last stretch of a cartridge is where print quality goes first: reds begin their slide toward orange well before the counter reaches zero. Ordering when the gauge shows its final quarter means the fresh 106R02757 arrives while the old one is still printing acceptably.

What guarantee backs this cartridge?

A 1-year warranty, and returns cost you nothing for a full year after purchase; our shipping and returns page carries the complete terms. Stock is dispatched from Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California warehouses, and the support desk is staffed Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.

About This Xerox 6022 (106R02757) Magenta Cartridge

This is the magenta the whole 6020-family of small Xerox printers and multifunctions shares: one compatible 106R02757 cartridge, $25.22, rated at up to 1,000 pages. Because five models take the identical supply, a mixed office needs only one magenta spare in the cupboard to keep every machine covered.
