Frequently Asked Questions

Why do people's faces look sallow and yellowish in our printed photos?

That is the classic signature of a fading magenta. Skin tones are built mostly from magenta and yellow, and when the magenta side of the mix runs out, faces lose their pink and drift toward a sickly yellow-green. If the same photograph looks healthy on screen, the missing ingredient is this cartridge — the 106R02757, the platform's magenta supply.

Why are our reds suddenly printing orange?

Red is not a cartridge colour; it is mixed on the page from magenta plus yellow. Take magenta away and yellow wins the argument, so red headings, red chart bars and red logos all slide toward orange or rust. Black text stays perfectly sharp through all of this, because black does its work from a separate supply — which is exactly why a colour can be empty while the printer still seems fine.

How do I make sure I order the magenta this platform actually takes?

Read the part number on the cartridge you are taking out. If the label says 106R02757, this listing is that supply: one compatible magenta toner cartridge at $25.22, rated at up to 1,000 pages. The colour cartridges for these small Xerox machines share a shape and slot in alike, so the printed number — not the colour of the box — is the reliable check.

How can I prove magenta is the colour that has run out?

Let the machine settle it: run its colour diagnosis page and find the magenta block. Where a healthy cartridge lays down one dense, even slab of colour, a spent one leaves that block washed, patchy or ribbed with streaks. Out in everyday printing the same verdict appears as purples shedding their red and leaning blue, and lipstick, brick and wine shades all draining toward brown.

Which machines does this cartridge fit?

Two models draw on it: the Phaser 6022 printer and its multifunction cousin, the WorkCentre 6027. Since both were designed around the identical magenta supply, keeping one spare on the shelf covers whichever of the pair you own.

What cover comes with the cartridge?

You get a 1-year warranty, and sending it back costs nothing for a full year after it arrives — our shipping and returns page explains how it all works. We dispatch from Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California, and the support team keeps hours of Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
