Frequently Asked Questions

What does the five-pack do to the per-cartridge price for the ML-2165W?

It cuts it to $17.94. Five MLT-D101S cartridges cost $89.69 in this box against $32.73 each bought singly — $73.96 saved across the pack — and the toner behind each page falls from roughly 2.18 cents to about 1.2 cents over the pack's 7,500 rated pages.

How far ahead does this pack take the toner question off the table?

At sixty pages a week, about two years and five months; at a hundred and fifty a week, just under a year. Either way the answer is measured in seasons, not weeks — the reorder conversation all but disappears for a home machine.

Who actually needs five cartridges at once for the ML-2165W?

A home office that prints daily and resents interruptions — invoices, coursework, forms — and anyone whose ML-2165W also serves as the household's shared printer. A genuinely occasional printer collects the same $73.96 saving only over many years, and for that desk the smaller packs are the honest recommendation.

How should a pack this size be worked through?

Oldest cartridge first, spares kept sealed, flat and somewhere cool and dry. Toner has no practical expiry on the shelf, so a five-pack used over two years loses nothing by waiting.

Can the pack keep two different Samsung models supplied?

Yes. The cartridges are standard MLT-D101S units, shared by the ML-2165W and the SCX machines — 3400F, 3400FW, 3405, 3405FW and 3405W, so the box can be common stock for any of them, not the ML-2165W's alone.

What cover applies to cartridges taken from this pack?

Each cartridge is covered separately for a year — warranty cover for twelve months, returns free for twelve months — so a fault in any unit in the box is returnable by itself. How returns are raised is set out on the shipping and returns page; dispatch is from our warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA.
