Frequently Asked Questions

Who actually needs ten cartridges at once for an ML-2165W?

A small business running the machine — or several of its stablemates — as a workhorse. Ten MLT-D101S cartridges hold 15,000 rated pages, which is bulk stock for a desk printing hundreds of pages a week, or for an office standardising its small Samsungs on one cartridge. For a single lightly used home ML-2165W, this box is honestly more toner than the machine will see for years.

What does each cartridge in this ten-pack effectively cost?

$16.09. The ten cartridges cost $160.89 together, against $32.73 apiece singly — a saving of $166.41 across the box — and the per-page figure reaches roughly 1.07 cents over the pack's 15,000 rated pages, the lowest this cartridge is sold at.

How long will the pack keep a busy ML-2165W going?

At 400 pages a week, about thirty-seven weeks; shared across two or three machines on the platform, proportionally less per machine but the same total. The pack's job is to make toner a non-event for the better part of a year of heavy use.

How should stock from a pack this size be rotated?

Strictly oldest-first, spares sealed, flat, cool and dry. With ten units the only real discipline is inventory: knowing the count, and reordering when the box — not the machine — runs low. Toner itself waits without deteriorating in any practical sense.

Can one pack serve as shared stock for several Samsung printers in the same office?

That is its natural use. Every unit is a standard MLT-D101S, the shared cartridge for the SCX-3405W, SCX-3405FW, SCX-3405, SCX-3400FW, SCX-3400F and ML-2165W, so the box is platform stock, not one printer's private supply.

What cover applies to cartridges taken from this pack?

All ten, one by one: each unit carries a year's warranty cover and can be returned free within its year, so a single fault never drags the whole box into question. The shipping and returns page gives the procedure, and support is staffed Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
