Frequently Asked Questions

What does a three-cartridge supply look like across a year in an ML-2165W?

For a steadily printing home office, it looks like the whole year. Three MLT-D101S cartridges hold 4,500 rated pages, so a machine averaging eighty pages a week is supplied for about thirteen months from one $61.21 order — one in the printer, two in the drawer, no mid-year scramble.

What does the three-pack do to the per-cartridge price?

It takes it to $20.40. The three cartridges cost $61.21 together against $32.73 apiece singly — $36.98 saved across the pack — and the per-page figure follows, from about 2.18 cents down to roughly 1.36 cents over the pack's 4,500 rated pages.

Why settle on three cartridges rather than one or five?

Three is the middle temperament: enough stock that a run-out is a swap rather than an order, at a total spend closer to a single than to the five-pack's $89.69. It suits a printer that empties a cartridge every three or four months — fast enough to collect the saving within the year, slow enough that five would sit for years.

How should the two spare cartridges be stored and rotated?

Sealed, flat, cool and dry, fitted in the order bought. Toner keeps patiently on the shelf, so the routine is simply oldest-first, with the count always easy to read.

Can this pack serve as shared stock for several Samsung printers?

Yes — every cartridge is a standard MLT-D101S, the common unit for the the ML-2165W printer and the SCX-3400F, SCX-3400FW, SCX-3405, SCX-3405FW and SCX-3405W multifunctions, so the pack can feed any machine on that list.

What cover applies to cartridges taken from this pack?

Cover runs per cartridge for a year: every unit is warranted for twelve months and returnable free across the same span, so a fault in any one of the three is dealt with on its own. The shipping and returns page carries the detail; we ship from our IL, PA, GA and CA warehouses.
