Frequently Asked Questions

How many months will one black cartridge last in a typical office?

That depends on your monthly volume. At 2,000 black pages a month, the rated 23,000 pages stretches close to a year; at 5,000 pages a month you are looking at roughly four to five months. Heavy coverage like dense reports and graphics will shorten that, while everyday memos and emails usually land near the rating.

What does a black page actually cost with this cartridge?

At $55.13 for a rated 23,000 pages, black output works out to roughly 0.24 cents per page before paper and power. That is the kind of per-page cost that makes an older MP C3500 or MP C4500 worth keeping in service instead of replacing. Real-world coverage above the 5% test standard will nudge the figure up slightly.

Which printers does this cartridge work with?

This is the 888604 black cartridge for the Ricoh Aficio MP C3500 and MP C4500 color MFP platform. The cartridges are shared across that platform, so even though this listing is named for the C3500, the same cartridge serves the other models in the family. Check your current cartridge number against 888604 before ordering if you are unsure.

How will I know the cartridge is really empty and not just low?

The machine warns early, and prints usually keep looking fine for a while after the first low-toner message. When output starts fading evenly across the page or the copier refuses to run black jobs, the cartridge is genuinely done. A gentle shake can redistribute toner for a short run of extra pages, but treat that as a bridge, not a fix.

What protection do I get if the cartridge underperforms?

Every cartridge we sell carries a one-year warranty, and returns are free for a full year as well. If a cartridge leaks, streaks, or stops well short of reasonable life, contact us and we will make it right. Full details are on our shipping and returns page.

How fast will my order get here?

We ship from four warehouses in IL, PA, GA, and CA, so most orders arrive within a few business days depending on your location. Support is available Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, if you need help tracking an order or choosing the right cartridge.
