Cross-reference: Ricoh 841345, the Type MPC4500A cyan print cartridge. This cartridge fits the Gestetner DSc535 and DSc545 — the same machine platform also sold as the Ricoh Aficio MP C3500 and MP C4500, the Savin C3535 and C4540, and the Lanier LD435c and LD445c.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does the cyan cartridge run out on its own schedule instead of together with the others?

Each color is consumed only by the images that actually contain it. Cyan does the heavy lifting in skies, water, blue logos, and most charts and graphics, so an office that prints a lot of presentations and marketing pieces can drain cyan while the other colors still show healthy levels. That is normal behavior for a four-cartridge machine, not a fault.

What does a color page cost compared with a black page on this platform?

This cyan cartridge is rated at 17,000 pages and costs $62.51, which is about 0.37 cents per page for the cyan component. The black cartridge on the same platform is rated higher, at 23,000 pages, so color output is inherently a bit more expensive per page than plain text printing.

How can I tell cyan is getting low before the machine stops?

Watch the blues and greens. Sky tones go pale, teal and green shades shift toward yellow, and photos start to look washed out on the blue side. The machine's supply gauge will also show cyan dropping, and checking it during a big color job is cheaper than reprinting a batch that faded halfway through.

Does this cartridge fit only the DSC535 named in the listing?

The title names one model, but the cartridge is made for the whole Ricoh Aficio MP C4503/C5503 platform, and the Gestetner DSC535 is part of that family: Gestetner DSC535 and Gestetner DSC545. If your copier appears on that list, this is its cyan cartridge, whatever name is printed on the machine itself.

Do all four colors have to be replaced at the same time?

No, each cartridge is independent and should be changed when it is actually empty. Replacing cyan early just because another color ran out throws away usable toner. The only reason to change several at once is convenience during a planned full refresh.

What if this cartridge arrives damaged or performs badly?

It is backed by a one-year warranty, and returns stay free for twelve months from purchase. You can read exactly how the process works on our shipping and returns page, and our team is reachable Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
