Frequently Asked Questions

The copier only holds one black cartridge — why buy two at once?

Because the second one sits on your shelf, not in the machine. When the installed cartridge runs out mid-job, the spare goes in within a minute and work continues instead of stopping for days while a delivery makes its way to you. For a shared departmental copier, that small bit of planning is the difference between a non-event and a stalled office.

How much do I save versus buying singles?

Two single cartridges would cost $110.26; this two-pack is $91.76, so you save $18.50 and each cartridge effectively costs $45.88. Across the combined 46,000 rated pages, your cost per black page also drops compared with the single-cartridge price.

Will the spare cartridge go bad sitting in storage?

Kept sealed in its packaging, in a cool dry place away from sunlight, a toner cartridge stores well for an extended period. Avoid garages and damp basements where heat and humidity swing. Install the older cartridge first when you rotate stock so nothing sits forgotten for years.

Does this two-pack fit my machine?

Both cartridges are the 888604 black used by the Ricoh Aficio MP C3500 and MP C4500 platform. This listing is titled for the C3500, but the cartridge is the platform's shared black, so it serves the other models in that family too. Match the number on your current cartridge if you want extra certainty.

Can I return one cartridge if I end up not needing the second?

Returns are free within one year of purchase, and every cartridge carries a one-year warranty. If your copier is retired or your volume drops and a sealed cartridge becomes surplus, get in touch and we will walk you through the return. The policy is spelled out on our shipping and returns page.

Where does my order ship from?

We fulfill from warehouses in IL, PA, GA, and CA, and your order ships from the location that gets it to you fastest. Questions before or after ordering are answered Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
