Frequently Asked Questions

Is a five-pack overbuying for a single machine?

It can be, and we would rather say so plainly. A five-pack holds 115,000 rated black pages; a light user printing 1,000 pages a month would need nearly a decade to use it. This pack makes sense for high-volume departments, print-heavy small businesses, or offices feeding several machines from one supply cabinet.

What makes the five-pack the cheapest way to buy this cartridge?

At $201.68 for five, each cartridge costs $40.34 — the lowest per-cartridge price we offer on the 888604. Compared with five singles at $55.13, you keep $73.97. The per-page cost also falls to roughly 0.18 cents at the rated yield.

How should we manage a stockpile this size?

Date the boxes when they arrive, store them sealed indoors away from heat and sunlight, and always install the oldest first. A simple shelf label with the cartridge number prevents the pack from being mistaken for a different model's supply. Used gradually and stored properly, the last cartridge performs like the first.

Will these work in every machine in our fleet?

They work in any machine on the platform that uses the 888604 black — that is the Ricoh Aficio MP C3500 and MP C4500 family. This listing is named for the C3500, though the black cartridge is common across the platform. Machines outside that family use different cartridges, so check fleet models before centralizing your stock.

What happens if our volume drops after buying five?

You have a full year of free returns and a one-year warranty on every cartridge, so a change in circumstances does not leave you stuck immediately. Reach out and we will discuss options for sealed, unused stock. Details live on our shipping and returns page.

Does a bigger pack ship differently?

It ships as one order from whichever of our IL, PA, GA, or CA warehouses is best placed to reach you. Delivery timing is the same as any other order. Our team is available Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, if you need a delivery estimate for a specific address.
