Frequently Asked Questions

My black cartridge still has plenty of life — can I refresh just the colors?

That is exactly what this set is for. On most color machines the black cartridge outlasts the colors, so there is no reason to pay for a black you do not need yet. This box contains cyan, magenta, and yellow only, letting you bring the color side back to full strength while the installed black keeps working.

What does the three-color set save me versus ordering each color separately?

The three color singles add up to $192.21 on their own; the set is $155.24, which saves you $36.97. You also get one shipment and one invoice instead of three separate orders to track. For offices that restock colors together on a schedule, the simpler routine is worth as much as the discount.

Is this the right set for my machine?

This three-color set is made for Ricoh MP C401 and MP C401SR printers using the 8419-series cartridges, and the cartridges work across the whole platform even though the listing names one model. It contains the 841921 cyan, 841920 magenta, and 841919 yellow cartridges. Check the numbers on any one of your current color cartridges — if they match the series, this set is the one.

How long will 9,500 pages per color last in a typical office?

That rating assumes standard 5% coverage, and color coverage on real documents is often higher, especially with charts, photos, and branded templates. A team printing a few hundred color pages a week can expect many months from a fresh set. Heavy marketing or graphics output will cycle through them faster, so plan the next order when the first low-toner warning appears.

Will new color cartridges work alongside my older black cartridge?

Yes. Each cartridge slot operates independently, so fresh colors and a partially used black coexist without any calibration headache. The machine balances output automatically after installation. Just install each color in its labeled slot and let the printer run its short setup routine.

How do returns work if one of the three colors turns out to be faulty?

Returns stay free for a full year, and every cartridge is backed by a one-year warranty on top of that. A problem with a single color is handled for that cartridge alone — you are not expected to send back the colors that work. Our shipping and returns page walks through the simple process.
