Frequently Asked Questions
Who is a five-cartridge set the right buy for?
It suits offices that print color every day and cannot afford a mid-job stoppage: a full working set for the machine plus a genuine spare on the shelf. Instead of ordering every few weeks, you place one order and stay covered through a busy quarter. Smaller offices that print color only occasionally will usually find a smaller set is enough.
What is the per-cartridge cost in this set?
The five cartridges come to $241.43 total, which averages out to about $48.29 per cartridge — noticeably below the $64.07 price of a color single. Buying ahead in this quantity is what pulls the average down. You pay once and stop thinking about toner for a good stretch.
Are these cartridges compatible with my printer model?
Yes — this set is built from the 8419-series cartridges used by Ricoh MP C401 and MP C401SR, and they work across the entire platform even though the listing is titled for one model. Whether your machine is badged as the standard model or its close sibling in the family, the same cartridges serve it. Matching the 8419 series number on your current cartridge confirms it in seconds.
How much printing does the set cover in total?
It depends on the mix your office runs, but the ratings give a useful guide: black-class cartridges in this series are rated at up to 15,000 pages and color-class cartridges at up to 9,500 pages at 5% coverage. Text-heavy workflows stretch those numbers further; image-heavy work shortens them. Either way, five cartridges represent a long runway before the next order.
What is the best way to rotate through five cartridges?
Install what the machine asks for and store the extras sealed, flat, and out of sunlight. When you do open a new cartridge, use the oldest stock first so nothing sits on the shelf for years. A sticky note with the purchase date on each box keeps the rotation effortless.
If something goes wrong with a cartridge, what are my options?
You are covered two ways: a one-year warranty on every cartridge and free returns during the first year, no restocking games. Reach out to our team Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST and we will arrange a replacement or refund for the faulty unit. The full terms live on our shipping and returns page.
