Frequently Asked Questions
When does it make sense to replace all four cartridges at the same time?
A full four-cartridge change is the right move when several colors are running low together, when you are setting up a machine for a new team, or when color quality has drifted and you want a clean baseline. It also resets your ordering cycle — after a full set goes in, you know roughly where every cartridge stands. Offices that track cost per page often prefer one planned refresh over four emergency orders.
How much does the set save compared with buying the cartridges one by one?
The four singles would total $253.79 if bought separately; this set is $198.33, so you keep $55.46. That is effectively like getting the fourth cartridge at a steep discount. The savings hold regardless of which cartridge your machine burns through first.
Does this set fit every machine in the platform?
Yes — the cartridges in this set cover the full Ricoh MP C401 and MP C401SR platform, even though the listing highlights one model name. The set includes one black, one cyan, one magenta, and one yellow cartridge from the 8419 series. If your multifunction printer uses 8419-series cartridges, all four slots are covered by this box.
Will all four cartridges run out at the same time?
Almost certainly not. Black is rated at up to 15,000 pages while each color is rated at up to 9,500 pages, and real usage is rarely balanced across the four. Expect to reorder individual colors first, and treat this set as the full reset rather than a recurring bundle you must buy every time.
Do I have to install all four cartridges the day the box arrives?
No. Each cartridge is individually sealed, so you can install only the ones your machine needs today and shelve the rest. Unopened cartridges keep well in a cool, dry spot, which makes this set a sensible way to build a small buffer stock in one order.
What protection comes with a set purchase?
Each cartridge in the set carries the same coverage as our singles: a one-year warranty plus free returns for a full year after purchase. If one cartridge in the set misbehaves, you deal with that cartridge only — the rest of the set is unaffected. See our shipping and returns page for the complete policy.
