Frequently Asked Questions

What kinds of documents use up cyan the fastest?

Anything with blue skies, water, corporate blue logos, charts, and cool-toned photos draws heavily on cyan. A page of plain text uses almost none, which is why color cartridges often outlast black in text-heavy offices but drain quickly in design or marketing work.

Why does a cyan page cost more than a black page here?

This cyan cartridge is rated at 9,500 pages for $64.07, which works out to about 0.67 cents per page, compared with roughly 0.41 cents for black. Color toner cartridges carry smaller yields, so the per-page figure is naturally higher — worth knowing when you budget for color-heavy projects.

How will I know the cyan is genuinely running low?

Blues start shifting toward purple or green, and skies and logos look washed out before the cartridge is fully empty. The machine's toner gauge gives you fair warning, so ordering when it first reports low usually leaves plenty of buffer.

Which printers does this cyan cartridge fit?

It is made for the Ricoh MP C401 and MP C401SR platform, covering the Ricoh MP C401 and MP C401SR. The listing identifies it by its 841921 cartridge number, and that cartridge serves the entire platform rather than one model alone.

Can I replace just the cyan and leave the other colors in place?

Absolutely — each color is a separate cartridge and can be changed on its own schedule. There is no need to replace magenta or yellow at the same time unless they are also low.

What if the cyan cartridge leaks or prints poorly?

It is protected by a one-year warranty, and returns are free during that year if the cartridge is defective. The full policy is set out on our shipping and returns page, and you can reach support Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
