Frequently Asked Questions

How long will 15,000 pages actually last in a typical office?

It depends on your monthly volume. An office printing about 1,000 black pages a month can expect roughly 15 months from one cartridge, while a busier department at 3,000 pages a month will go through it in about five months. The 15,000-page rating assumes standard 5% page coverage, so dense reports and heavy graphics will shorten that somewhat.

What does this cartridge work out to per page?

At $61.58 for a rated 15,000 pages, the math lands at about 0.41 cents per page for black output. That makes it an economical everyday choice for invoices, reports, and internal documents on a color machine where black still does most of the work.

Can I keep printing in black if one of the color cartridges runs out?

Yes, in most cases the machine will continue printing black-only jobs when a color cartridge is empty, though copying and color jobs will pause until the empty color is replaced. Check your device's panel message, since behavior can vary slightly by setting.

Which printers does this black cartridge fit?

This cartridge is made for the Ricoh MP C401 and MP C401SR platform, which covers the Ricoh MP C401 and MP C401SR color multifunction printers. The listing names the cartridge by its 841918 number, but the same cartridge serves the whole platform rather than a single model variant.

How should I store the cartridge before I install it?

Keep it sealed in its original packaging, stored flat in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Stored properly, a spare keeps well on the shelf, so buying ahead of a busy season is not a problem.

What protection do I get if the cartridge has a problem?

Every cartridge we sell is covered by a one-year warranty, and returns are free within the first year if something is not right. Details are on our shipping and returns page, and our support team is available Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
