Frequently Asked Questions

What does the $139.21 price actually break down to per cartridge?

Four cartridges for $139.21 works out to about $34.80 per cartridge. Every position in this set is rated at 10,000 pages — the black at 10,000 pages and each color at 10,000 pages — so on a per-cartridge basis the running cost lands near a third of a cent per page. That is the math that makes a full four-color refresh one of the cheaper ways to keep a C831dn fed.

Which four part numbers are covered by this set?

The set is built around the four-number family 44844509, 44844510, 44844511 and 44844512. Those four numbers are the complete cartridge family for this printer group, and buying them together as a set means all four positions in the machine are covered in a single order instead of four separate ones.

Which printers does this four-color set fit?

It fits the Oki C831, C831dn and C831n, plus the MC873dn and MC873dnc multifunction models. If your machine is one of those five, this set covers its black and color positions with the cartridge family listed under 44844509, 44844510, 44844511 and 44844512.

Is this an original Okidata product?

No — these are compatible cartridges, built to work in place of the originals referenced by 44844509, 44844510, 44844511 and 44844512. More Okidata options are listed on the Okidata brand page.

Why replace all four cartridges at the same time?

On a busy C831dn the four positions rarely run out on the same day, but they do age together. Swapping the full set in one session means one round of downtime instead of four separate interruptions over the following weeks, and fresh cartridges across all four positions keep color output consistent from the first page after the change.

What protection and return terms come with the set?

Every cartridge in the set is covered by a one-year warranty and one-year free returns, as described on our shipping and returns page. Orders ship from our warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, and support is available Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
