Frequently Asked Questions

What does a four-pack of this cartridge include?

Four black 147A cartridges, each the W1470A part, each sealed in its own bag, in one order at $292.66. Every unit carries the same 10,500-page rating and installs identically — the pack is a supply, not four different products.

How do I verify the code before committing to a four-pack?

The same way you verify a single: read the outgoing cartridge's label. W1470A is the matching code. It is worth the thirty seconds, because a four-pack bought on a wrong guess is four cartridges to return instead of one.

Why would a campus department stock four at once?

Academic calendars are lumpy — syllabus season, exam weeks, end-of-term reporting. A department that keeps a term's supply in the store cupboard never has to stop mid-cycle to chase a delivery, and reordering becomes a once-a-term decision rather than a monthly chore.

How should four sealed cartridges be stored?

Flat, sealed, in a cool dry cupboard away from radiators and sunny windows. Keep them in their bags until the day each is installed; sealed toner is in no hurry, and storage order — oldest to the front — keeps rotation honest.

How does the department know when to open the next one?

On the machine's own signals: the low-toner message and a gauge near zero. Mark each installed cartridge with the date as it goes in; a rough rhythm emerges within a term or two, and reordering becomes predictable.

What cover does a four-pack carry?

Every cartridge in the pack is covered by a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, and support runs Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM CST. A faulty unit is handled on its own, without affecting the rest of the pack.

About This 147A Four-Pack for the M611dn

A campus department's printing rarely stops at one machine, and the W1470A is the shared cartridge across the fleet that works to the academic calendar: the HP LaserJet Enterprise M611dn by the office door, the M610dn, M610n, M611n and M611x along the corridor, the M612dn and M612x in the lab, and the M634h, M635z and M636z multifunctions handling the copying. This four-pack — $292.66 for the set of four, each rated at 10,500 pages — is the term-planning buy: stock the cupboard once, and every one of those printers is off the agenda until the next reorder cycle. Departments churning through pages faster than that can stock the four-pack as the high-yield 147X (W1470X) instead.
