How many pages does the set print?

Per cartridge, not in total: black up to 1,100 pages and each colour up to 1,100 pages (ISO/IEC 24711). The four cartridges empty at different rates, so we never sum them into a single figure.

Is this the same as Epson's T812XL-BCS pack?

No. Epson's BCS combo pairs one XL black with standard-capacity colours. In this set all four cartridges are the XL codes — that is the whole point of it — so the colour yields here are 1,100 pages each, not the standard tier's.

Which printers does it fit?

All four officially verified US 812-family models: WF-7310, WF-7820, WF-7840, EC-C7000. Each model takes the same 812 / 812XL code set, confirmed in Epson's own cartridge documentation.

Will these cartridges be recognised by my printer?

Each cartridge carries a new compatible chip. If your printer's firmware has been updated, recognition issues can occasionally occur — Epson's own guide for these printers states that firmware updates may affect the functionality of third-party ink. Power the printer off, reseat the cartridge until it clicks, and restart before assuming a cartridge is faulty. We do not promise recognition under every future firmware version; if a recognition problem cannot be cleared, the cartridge is covered by our lifetime warranty.

Do I have to install all four at once?

No. Install the positions that are low and keep the rest sealed in their packs as spares. A set on the shelf is simply the surest way to never be caught out mid-job on a wide-format deadline.

What kind of ink is inside?

DURABrite Ultra pigment ink — the same ink family Epson specifies for the whole 812 line, in all four colours. Pigment ink is why these printers are known for smudge-, water- and fade-resistant document prints.

I print mostly black text. Why do my colours still run down?

These printers draw a small amount of ink from every cartridge during printing and cleaning cycles to keep the permanent print head charged and clear — Epson states this in its own support answers. Colour cartridges therefore fall slowly even on black-only work, and the printer will ask for a spent colour to be replaced before it keeps printing.

My office printer is a WF-4830. Does this set fit it?

No. In the US the WF-4830 takes the 822 family — a physically different cartridge. Overseas listings that call that printer "812" reflect a regional code, not US compatibility. This set fits only the four wide-format models named on this page.

How do I install the set?

Position by position: remove the old cartridge for a colour, take the new one out of its pack, remove only the protective tape, do not touch the green chip, and press it into its holder until it clicks. Close the cover and let the printer charge the ink before printing.

Is this a genuine Epson product?
