Red is the colour that stretches the XP-15000's gamut beyond what cyan, magenta and yellow can mix — sunsets, product shots and deep reds are its home ground. Like Gray, it lives in Epson's separate 314XL line: the official code is T314XL820-S, there is no standard-capacity Red and no 312 Red, and it fits the Expression Photo HD XP-15000 only. The XP-8500, XP-8600 and XP-8700 have no Red slot — their finishing pair is Light Cyan and Light Magenta.

Yield needs the honest version: Epson's official sources do not separate a Red-only figure — Red sits inside the family's colour composite rating (830 pages for the XL tier across the colour set, ISO/IEC 24711), and the separate value could not be split out from the official data, so this cartridge's yield field is left blank rather than decorated with an invented number. The ink is Claria Photo HD dye, and the cartridge carries a new compatible chip for ink-level reporting: this cartridge carries a new compatible chip. If your printer's firmware has been updated, recognition issues can occasionally occur — reseat and restart first. Its shelf-mates are T312XL120-S black (up to 500 pages), T312XL220-S cyan, T312XL320-S magenta, T312XL420-S yellow and T314XL720-S gray.
Covered by our lifetime warranty, with free returns for the first year. A Clever Supplies compatible for the US-region XP-15000, not a genuine Epson cartridge.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why is Red coded 314XL instead of 312XL?
Epson's official XP-15000 table puts Gray and Red in the 314XL line — T314XL820-S for Red — and only in XL. Black, cyan, magenta and yellow are the 312/312XL colours; there is no T312 Red.
Which printers take this Red?
Only the Expression Photo HD XP-15000. The XP-8500, XP-8600 and XP-8700 finish their layout with Light Cyan and Light Magenta and have no Red slot.
What is the Red cartridge's page yield?
Epson does not publish a Red-only figure — Red is counted inside the family's colour composite (830 pages for the XL tier, ISO/IEC 24711), and the separate value can't be split out of the official data. So the yield field is blank here rather than invented.
Is there a standard-capacity Red?
No. Red exists only as 314XL, exactly like Gray — Epson's table leaves the standard column empty for both.
What does a separate Red ink add?
A wider colour gamut: reds and oranges that CMYK-style mixing can't reach print cleaner and deeper, which is the XP-15000's party trick for photo work up to 13×19 inches.
Does it carry a chip?
Yes — a new compatible chip for ink-level reporting. This cartridge carries a new compatible chip. If your printer's firmware has been updated, recognition issues can occasionally occur; reseat the cartridge and restart the printer if a warning shows.
It wasn't recognised on install. What do I do?
Power off, remove the cartridge, check the chip contacts, reseat until it clicks, and power back on. If a firmware update preceded the message, that is the likely cause. Persistent warnings are covered by the lifetime warranty — contact us.
Is the ink dye-based?
Yes — Claria Photo HD dye, like all six XP-15000 colours per Epson's specification.
Is this genuine Epson?
No — a Clever Supplies compatible built to the T314XL820-S specification, labelled compatible on the box and this page.
Why no millilitre volume?
Epson's official documentation states no mL figure for this family, so the Volume field stays blank instead of using an unverified reseller number.
Does it fit a European XP-15000?
No — European models take the 478 family. This is the US-region 314XL cartridge.
Single Red or the full XP-15000 set?
The single when red alone runs low. The XP-15000 Set of 6 refills all six slots (four 312XL colours plus Gray and Red 314XL), and the Set of 13 bulk box is there for high-volume printing.
