Frequently Asked Questions

What is in the XP-15000 bulk Set of 13?

Thirteen XL cartridges: 3× T312XL120-S black, 2× T312XL220-S cyan, 2× T312XL320-S magenta, 2× T312XL420-S yellow, 2× T314XL720-S gray and 2× T314XL820-S red — two full XP-15000 layouts plus a spare black.

Why does the box mix 312XL and 314XL codes?

Because the XP-15000 does: four colours are 312XL, while Gray and Red exist only as 314XL in Epson's official table. The box mirrors the printer's actual slot codes.

Does it fit the XP-8500, XP-8600 or XP-8700?

No. Those printers finish with Light Cyan and Light Magenta, not Gray and Red. Their bulk box is the 312XL Set of 13 — a different set, linked from the XP-8500-series pages.

What are the per-cartridge yields?

Black up to 500 pages; gray up to 4,000 pages on Epson's published rating; cyan, magenta and yellow sit inside the 830-page XL colour composite (ISO/IEC 24711); red has no separate published figure. No total for the box is quoted.

Are all thirteen cartridges XL?

Yes — the whole box is the XL tier, including Gray and Red, which exist only as 314XL. Each cartridge carries a new compatible chip for ink-level reporting.

One cartridge shows a recognition warning. What happens?

Reseat it until it clicks and restart the printer — a recent firmware update is the usual trigger. These cartridges carry new compatible chips, and if your printer's firmware has been updated, recognition issues can occasionally occur. If it persists, the lifetime warranty covers that cartridge on its own.

Is the ink dye-based in all six colours?

Yes — Claria Photo HD dye throughout, Gray and Red included, per Epson's family specification.

Is this a genuine Epson bulk pack?

No — a Clever Supplies compatible bulk set assembled from the XP-15000's six official codes, labelled compatible on the box and this page.

Why three blacks in a photo printer's box?

Because XP-15000s rarely print only photos — documents run through the same machine, and black empties first. The mix keeps the most-used slot stocked.

Does it fit a European XP-15000?

No — European models take 378/478 region-coded cartridges. This set is for the US model.

How do I store the spare cartridges?

Sealed in the box, upright, room temperature, out of sunlight. Open each one only when it goes into the printer.

Bulk Set of 13 or Set of 6?

The Set of 6 for a single full reset. This Set of 13 when the printer works weekly and you want two layouts on the shelf — cheaper per cartridge than singles or repeated sets.
