Frequently Asked Questions

What's in the XP-15000 Set of 6?

Six XL cartridges: T312XL120-S black, T312XL220-S cyan, T312XL320-S magenta, T312XL420-S yellow, T314XL720-S gray and T314XL820-S red — every slot of the Expression Photo HD XP-15000 in one box.

Why does one set carry two family codes, 312XL and 314XL?

Because the printer does. Epson's official table gives the XP-15000 four 312XL colours and puts Gray and Red in the separate 314XL line. A set that called all six '312' would be mislabelling two of them.

Does this set fit the XP-8500 or XP-8700?

No. Those printers have Light Cyan and Light Magenta slots, not Gray and Red. Their Set of 6 (all 312XL) is the right box for them — the two sets are not interchangeable.

What are the yields?

Per cartridge: black up to 500 pages; gray up to 4,000 pages on Epson's published rating; cyan, magenta and yellow are inside the 830-page XL colour composite (ISO/IEC 24711); red has no separate published figure. No summed total is quoted for the box.

Are the Gray and Red really XL-only?

Yes — Gray and Red exist only as 314XL. There are no standard-capacity versions, which is why this all-XL set is the family's natural full refill.

Do all six cartridges have chips?

Yes, each carries a new compatible chip for ink-level reporting. These cartridges carry new compatible chips. If your printer's firmware has been updated, recognition issues can occasionally occur; reseat the flagged cartridge and restart the printer.

One cartridge in the set shows a recognition warning. Steps?

Reseat that one cartridge until it clicks and restart — firmware updates are the usual trigger. If the warning persists, contact us; the lifetime warranty covers the individual cartridge.

Is the ink dye-based throughout?

Yes — Claria Photo HD dye in all six cartridges, per Epson's family specification, Gray and Red included.

Is this Epson's own multipack?

No. It is a Clever Supplies compatible set assembled to the XP-15000's six codes. Epson's US pack codes for this family could not be verified, so none is claimed here.

Why no millilitre figure for the set?

Epson publishes no mL volumes for this family, so neither a per-cartridge nor a summed volume appears on this page.

Does it fit a European XP-15000?

No — the European printer is coded for 378/478. This set is for the US model.

Set of 6 or the bulk Set of 13?

The Set of 6 for a full reset. The XP-15000 bulk Set of 13 (three blacks, two of every other colour) is the high-volume version — linked from this page.
