Frequently Asked Questions

The MF634Cdw keeps printing, but our presentation blues look dull — is that low cyan?

That is the classic early warning. The printer keeps going while the 045HC still has a little toner left, but cyan-heavy colours are the first to lose their punch: blues go flat, teals look grey, greens lose their brightness. A fresh 045HC brings the saturation back long before the machine would have forced the issue.

What is my per-page cost for cyan on the MF634Cdw?

This 045HC is priced at $33.64 and rated for up to 2,200 pages, so the cyan in each colour page costs about 1.53 cents. Presentation decks and colour reports are heavier than average pages, but even at double the normal coverage you are near 3 cents of cyan per page.

045HC or 045C — which one belongs in this listing?

The 045HC, the high-yield. Canon's 045H line raises cyan from the standard cartridge's roughly 1,300 pages to 2,200, and because the two are the same $33.64 here, picking the standard 045C for an MF634Cdw would mean changing cartridges sooner for no saving at all.

Will this cartridge work in the other 045 machines too?

Yes — the Canon 045H family is shared across the imageCLASS LBP612Cdw, MF632Cdw and MF634Cdw. This listing is written for the MF634Cdw, but the 045HC itself is the same cyan cartridge for all three.

Which cartridges sit beside this one in the printer?

Magenta is the 045HM, yellow is the 045HY and the black slot takes the 045HBK. All four are Canon 045H high-yield cartridges, and each can be replaced on its own schedule as the MF634Cdw calls for it.

How am I covered if something goes wrong?

The cartridge carries our 1-year warranty, and returns stay free for a full year. You can read the complete policy on the shipping and returns page; support is staffed Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
