Frequently Asked Questions

Why do faces in our printed photos look sunburned?

Skin tones are mostly magenta and yellow, and magenta does most of the steering. When the 045HM starts running unevenly, faces pick up a harsh red-orange cast and real reds — a logo, a sale banner — slide toward orange. Fresh Canon 045H magenta settles skin back to a natural tone and puts the red back in red.

How many pages does the 045HM give me?

Up to 2,200 pages. The cartridge costs $33.64, so magenta works out to about 1.53 cents per page. Photo-heavy and marketing pages lean on magenta harder than plain documents do, so a brochure run will move the counter faster than the same count of invoices.

Is this the high-yield magenta or the standard one?

The high-yield: 045HM is the magenta of the Canon 045H family. Its standard counterpart, the 045M, is rated around 1,300 pages. Both are listed at $33.64, which makes the H cartridge the straightforward pick — same price, roughly 900 more pages.

Which printers does the 045HM belong to?

The Canon 045 family serves the imageCLASS LBP612Cdw, MF632Cdw and MF634Cdw colour laser printers. Any of those machines asking for a Canon 045 magenta is asking for this cartridge's slot; the 045HM is simply the high-yield way to fill it.

What are its sibling cartridges?

Cyan is the 045HC, yellow is the 045HY and black is the 045HBK — the rest of the Canon 045H set. Each swaps independently, so a magenta problem never means replacing cartridges that still have life in them.

What if the colour still looks wrong after I fit it?

Then talk to us: the cartridge is under our 1-year warranty and returns are free for a year, as set out on the shipping and returns page. Support runs Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and we will help you pin down whether the fault is toner or machine.
