Frequently Asked Questions

Our flyers come out with tomatoes that look like oranges — is that a magenta problem?

Yes, and it is one of the easiest colour faults to read. Anything red — tomatoes, logos, warning labels — is printed as magenta over yellow. A weakening 045HM starves that mix, so reds slide orange and pinks go pale. If your yellows still look yellow and your blues still look blue, magenta is the cartridge confessing.

How many flyers and pages should I expect from the 045HM?

The rating is up to 2,200 pages, and the price is $33.64, so about 1.53 cents of magenta per page. Flyers and photos carry heavy coverage, so a run of full-colour leaflets will spend the cartridge faster than the page count of office letters would suggest.

What makes this the "H" magenta?

The H marks Canon's high-yield 045H family. This 045HM holds a 2,200-page rating where the standard 045M holds roughly 1,300 — and since both are sold at $33.64, the high-yield works out far cheaper per printed page without costing a cent more up front.

Which printers is the 045HM at home in?

Canon's imageCLASS LBP612Cdw, MF632Cdw and MF634Cdw — the three colour laser machines built around the Canon 045 cartridge family. If your current magenta says 045 on the label, this is its high-yield replacement.

What codes do the other slots use?

Cyan is the 045HC, yellow the 045HY and black the 045HBK. Ordering by those codes keeps you inside the Canon 045H high-yield set, so all four colours age at roughly the same pace.

What if I am not happy with how it prints?

It is covered by a 1-year warranty, and you have a year of free returns as well. The complete terms are on our shipping and returns page, and our support team works Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
