Frequently Asked Questions

We inherited a WorkCentre 7120S with our office lease. How do we find out which toner it takes?

Start at the machine itself: open the supplies status on its screen, or print a supplies report, and note the four cartridge numbers it reports. This set is the match when those numbers read 006R01457 in black, 006R01460 in cyan, 006R01459 in magenta and 006R01458 in yellow. The color numbering runs yellow, magenta, cyan rather than the order you might guess, so compare number by number instead of by position.

Most of our day is scan-to-email rather than printing. Does scanning use up this set?

No. Scanning passes paper over the glass and sends a file — it puts no toner on a page, so a scan-heavy office consumes this set far more slowly than the ratings clock. Only pages that come out printed or copied draw on the cartridges: roughly 22,000 pages from the black and 15,000 pages from each color under standard coverage. Many inherited machines surprise their new owners with how long a set lasts when half the work never touches paper.

What is inside the carton when it arrives?

Four sealed cartridges — one black, one cyan, one magenta, one yellow — priced together at $313.49. That is the full contents. If the machine's messages also mention a drum unit or a waste container, those are different supplies entirely and are not part of this set.

Which cartridge is likely to run out first in an office like ours?

Black, in most offices, because letters, forms and internal documents are text pages. Its 22,000-page rating is the largest of the four partly for that reason; the colors, at 15,000 pages each, only get drawn on when a page actually carries color. If your predecessor mostly printed in black and white, expect the black slot to be the first one asking for attention.

How quickly can a replacement set get to us?

Orders ship from the nearest of our warehouses in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California, and the delivery estimates for each route are published on our shipping and returns page. Once you know the machine, keeping one spare set in reserve removes the urgency from future orders altogether.

What protection comes with the set?

A 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns stand behind every cartridge, so a faulty unit is replaced or refunded. Help is available Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and if the office runs additional Xerox equipment, its supplies are gathered on the brand page.

About This WorkCentre 7120S Four-Color Toner Set

Taking over a WorkCentre 7120S that came with the office means taking over its appetite too — and this set answers it. Built around the same supply family as the WorkCentre 7120, the set pairs a 22,000-page black cartridge with three 15,000-page colors, enough for an office that prints steadily but scans even more. Verify the four numbers on the supplies report, order at $313.49, and the machine you inherited becomes the machine you can rely on.
