Frequently Asked Questions

Is this 5 pack better value than reordering singles through the year?

On the numbers, clearly. Five separate MLT-D116L cartridges cost $32.13 each — $160.65 across a year of reorders. The pack is $86.69 for the same five cartridges, saving $73.96 and cutting the effective price to $17.34 a cartridge, or roughly 0.58 cents a page for your SL-M2826. You also place one order instead of five.

What is the total printing capacity in the box?

Each of the five cartridges is rated at 3,000 pages, so the box holds 15,000 pages of toner for the SL-M2826. That is a serious reserve: a printer working through 1,000 pages a month would take fifteen months to see the bottom of it, and a lighter machine proportionally longer.

How do I keep the spare cartridges in good condition?

Leave each cartridge sealed until the day it is needed, keep the box somewhere cool and dry, out of direct sun and away from heat sources, and store the cartridges flat rather than on end. Work through them in purchase order. Treated that way, a cartridge taken from this pack in a year's time prints exactly as well as one fitted today.

Can I split the pack between my SL-M2826 and another Samsung?

Yes — nothing ties the cartridges to one machine. Any printer in the MLT-D116L family can take them, and that family covers the SL-M2835DW, SL-M2885FW, Xpress M2626, Xpress M2676, Xpress M2826, Xpress M2835 DW, Xpress M2875, Xpress M2875 DW, Xpress SL-M2625D, Xpress SL-M2675F, Xpress SL-M2825DW and Xpress SL-M2875FD as well as your SL-M2826. Splitting a pack across two machines is one of the most common ways offices use it. The Samsung toner range covers the family in full.

When would a single cartridge make more sense than this pack?

If the SL-M2826 prints only a handful of pages a week, a single cartridge at $32.13 will last a very long time and the pack's $86.69 is money sitting on a shelf. The pack earns its keep when the printer is in daily use or shared — anywhere a cartridge lasts months rather than years, the $73.96 saving and the always-have-a-spare convenience outweigh the outlay.

What cover do I get on the cartridges in this pack?

The full Clever Supplies terms apply to every cartridge in the box: a one-year warranty and free returns for 1 year, so a faulty cartridge — first or fifth — goes back at no cost. Full details are on the shipping and returns page. Packs are dispatched from our IL, PA, GA or CA warehouses, and support is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
