Frequently Asked Questions

If we print around 300 pages a week, how long does this pack keep the ML-2851NDL supplied?

The pack holds 25,000 rated pages - five ML-D2850B cartridges at 5,000 pages apiece. At 300 pages a week that arithmetic stretches past eighteen months, though real coverage and the odd long report run will trim it. For a small office on a steady rhythm like that, this is close to a year-and-a-half of not thinking about toner at all.

What does this pack bring the per-page cost down to?

Singles work out at about 1.06 cents a page. Spread the pack's $192.07 across its 25,000 pages and the figure drops to roughly 0.77 cents, because each cartridge inside effectively costs $38.41 rather than $53.21. Against five cartridges bought one by one - $266.05 in total - the pack keeps $73.98 in the budget.

Do the cartridges need any rotation while they wait their turn?

Light-touch rotation is enough: use them in the order they arrived, oldest first, and leave each one sealed until its turn comes. Toner keeps well in an unopened cartridge stored flat, cool and out of direct light, so a pack that takes a year or more to work through is no problem. The one thing to avoid is opening a cartridge early just to check it - the seal is what keeps it fresh.

Which printers do the cartridges in this pack fit?

They are listed for the ML-2851NDL this pack is named for, and the same unit fits the ML-2850, ML-2850D, ML-2850DR and ML-2851ND. Five printers on one cartridge code means a mixed Samsung corner of the office can share this stock without anyone checking which box belongs to which machine.

What if the pack arrives with a damaged cartridge inside?

Photograph the damage before anything gets thrown away, then get in touch - support runs Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST. The pack is backed by a one-year warranty and free returns across a full year, so a cartridge crushed in transit is replaced or refunded under the process set out on our shipping and returns page, not absorbed by you.

Where will a five-pack order ship from?

From the closest of our four warehouses - Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California. The pack is one parcel, not five separate shipments, so the full 25,000-page supply lands together and goes straight into the cupboard. Most addresses see it within a few business days without anyone paying for express handling.
