C3400
The Okidata C3400 is a compact color laser printer pitched at home offices and small teams that need occasional color without a bulky machine. It uses the 43459404 black cartridge (1,500 pages) with the 43459401, 43459402, and 43459403 color cartridges (1,000 pages), and high-yield versions stretch that further for busier periods.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which toner does the Oki C3400 use?
The C3400 uses black 43459401, cyan 43459402, magenta 43459403 and yellow 43459404. It shares this toner family with the C3300n and C3400n.
Is the C3400 still worth running, given its age?
If it prints well, yes — the 43459401–43459404 cartridges are still available from specialty and compatible suppliers, and the printer's separate toner-and-drum design keeps running costs low. The main age-related concern is driver support on the newest operating systems, so verify compatibility before depending on it.
What causes horizontal bands across C3400 color prints?
Evenly spaced horizontal bands usually indicate a worn image drum rather than a toner problem — each drum leaves its own repeating defect pattern. If the bands appear in only one color, check that color's 43459402–43459404 cartridge and its corresponding drum; if all colors show bands, the transfer belt may be due for replacement.
