Frequently Asked Questions

Which toner does the Oki B430D use?

The B430D uses toner cartridge 43979101 with image drum options 43979201 and 43979206. Toner and drum are separate, so a faded page usually means toner while repeating marks usually mean the drum.

My B430D has three cartridge numbers. Which one do I actually replace for toner?

The 43979101 is the toner cartridge. The 43979201 and 43979206 are drum options, not toner capacities. Replace the toner when prints fade and the drum when you see repeating defects.

Does the B430D duplex unit need any toner-related maintenance?

No. The duplexer is purely mechanical and toner-free. Keep its paper path clear of dust. All toner maintenance happens at the cartridge and LED array.
