Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly is in this MC562W set?

One box, four cartridges: black, cyan, magenta and yellow. They correspond to the four Oki part numbers for this printer family — 44469801 for black and 44469701, 44469702 and 44469703 for the colors. The black is rated at up to 3,500 pages and each color at up to 3,000 pages, and the full set is $64.38, which works out to about $16.10 per cartridge.

Do I have to replace all four cartridges at the same time?

No. Each cartridge is sealed separately, so you can change only the one your MC562W flags as empty and keep the others as spares. In practice, home offices and small teams often replace black (44469801) two or three times before a color runs out, because most everyday printing is text. Replacing individually is the cheaper way to run the printer.

How long will the set last in a home office?

For light home-office use — say 150 to 250 pages a month — the black cartridge's 3,500-page rating can last well past a year, and the 3,000-page colors longer still, since color usually makes up a minority of pages. If you print a lot of full-color flyers or photos, expect the colors to move faster; the ratings are based on 5% coverage, and a full-color page uses far more than that.

What if a cartridge arrives damaged or prints badly?

Every cartridge in this set carries a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns. If a cartridge leaks, streaks or simply will not print right, get in touch and we will replace or refund it under those terms — the details are spelled out on our shipping and returns page. Our support team is available Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM Central.

Is this set Okidata brand or a compatible alternative?

It is a compatible alternative, made to the specifications of Oki part numbers 44469801, 44469701, 44469702 and 44469703 rather than manufactured by Okidata. That is the reason a full four-cartridge refresh costs $64.38 instead of several times that, and it is covered by our warranty and returns policy rather than Oki's.

How quickly can I get a set shipped to me?

We fulfill orders from four warehouses — Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California — so most orders leave from a location reasonably close to you. If you are stocking up for other machines as well, the rest of our Okidata selection covers the wider Oki range.

About This Okidata MC562W 4 Color Set

This standard four-color set refreshes every toner position in the Okidata MC562W at once: black (Oki 44469801, rated up to 3,500 pages) plus cyan, magenta and yellow (Oki 44469701, 44469702 and 44469703, rated up to 3,000 pages each). At $64.38 total — around $16.10 per cartridge — it is an inexpensive way to bring a home-office or small-team MC562W back to full strength, and because each cartridge is sealed individually, you can also treat the set as a starter stock of spares and install colors only as they run out. The set is compatible rather than OEM, ships from our Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California warehouses, and is covered by a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, with support available Monday–Friday, 9–5 Central.

One set of four covers Oki C530dn, Oki C531dn, Oki MC562w, Oki MC890 and Oki MC950: this four-color set. For single-color refills the options are the black 44469801 cartridge, the cyan 44469703 cartridge, the magenta 44469702 cartridge and the yellow 44469701 cartridge.
