Frequently Asked Questions

Why doesn't this Premium MC562 set cost more than the standard one?

Because, on the numbers that matter, it is the same set. This Premium Quality listing is $64.38 — the same price as the standard Okidata MC562 four-color set — and the page ratings are the same as well: up to 3,500 pages from the black cartridge and up to 3,000 pages from each color. There is no premium surcharge hiding in this listing, and we will not pretend the word "Premium" adds pages. Judge it the way we do: four compatible cartridges covering part numbers 44469801, 44469701, 44469702 and 44469703, at about $16.10 per cartridge.

How does the $64.38 break down?

Divide it four ways and each cartridge — the 44469801 black plus the 44469701, 44469702 and 44469703 colors — costs about $16.10. For a color laser MFP, that keeps your per-cartridge restock cost low and predictable, which matters more for most small offices than any per-page calculation: you know exactly what a full toner refresh costs before you order.

Can I install just one cartridge now and keep the others for later?

Yes. The four cartridges are individually packaged, so you can install only the color your MC562 is asking for and shelve the rest. Store spares upright, in their packaging, away from direct sunlight and heat. Many owners install the black (44469801) first because it empties fastest, then swap colors as each one runs down.

How long should a set last in a typical small office?

It depends entirely on volume. At roughly 250 printed pages a month, the 3,500-page black rating stretches to well over a year and the 3,000-page colors are in the same neighborhood. At 500 pages a month, plan on roughly seven months for black and about six for each color — and remember the ratings assume light 5% coverage, so photo-heavy or brochure-heavy printing shortens those spans.

Is this a genuine Okidata product?

No — this is a compatible set, built to match the Oki part numbers 44469801, 44469701, 44469702 and 44469703, not an OEM Okidata product. That is exactly why it costs $64.38 for four cartridges. It is covered by our own 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns rather than the manufacturer's warranty; the full policy is on our shipping and returns page.

Where will my order ship from?

We stock across four warehouses — Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California — and your set ships from the one that reaches you quickest. Questions before or after ordering? Support is staffed Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM Central, and the wider Okidata catalog is there if you run other Oki printers too.

About This Okidata MC562 Premium Quality 4 Color Set

A complete compatible toner set for the Okidata MC562, spanning the four Oki part numbers the machine uses: 44469801 for black and 44469701, 44469702, 44469703 for the three colors. The set is $64.38 — roughly $16.10 a cartridge — with the black rated up to 3,500 pages and each color up to 3,000 pages at standard coverage. A straight note on the name: the Premium Quality version of this set carries the same price and the same ratings as the standard version, so the honest reason to buy it is the set itself, not the label. It ships from our Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California warehouses and is backed by a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, with support on hand Monday–Friday, 9–5 Central.

Any one of 44469801, 44469701, 44469702 and 44469703 can be bought on its own once a single color gives out. Oki MC950, Oki C530dn, Oki C531dn, Oki MC562w and Oki MC890 each draw from this four-color set.
