Frequently Asked Questions

What feeds the LaserJet M1319f MFP's printing, copying and faxing?

A single cartridge: the Q2612A, the 12A. Every page the machine puts on paper — a print from a desk, a copy at the glass, a fax arriving down the line — is drawn from that one unit, and this listing is that unit at $28.15.

How does the 2,000-page rating apply across three jobs?

It is one shared purse of pages. The MFP does not reserve toner per job, so the cartridge lasts for 2,000 pages of whatever mixture your office produces; only scanning to a file stands apart, spending nothing.

Our fax line prints overnight. What does that mean for toner?

That the cartridge can be spent by morning without a single person printing. On a fax-connected MFP the golden rule is a sealed spare in the building at all times — the swap itself takes minutes once the spare exists.

What does the swap involve?

Lift out the old unit; rock the new Q2612A gently side to side; remove its cover and sealing strip; seat it; then prove it with a print and a copy. The fax side needs no separate test — it prints from the same cartridge the moment the next fax arrives.

Copies look weak while prints are strong. Where is the problem?

Not in the cartridge, since both share it. Look at the original being copied and the state of the glass first; when prints and copies fade together instead, that shared fading is the cartridge asking to be changed.

What cover comes with the cartridge?

A year of warranty, with returns free inside that year — set out with the delivery arrangements at the foot of this section.
