The compatible XL packs below rate black (T748XL120) up to 5,000 pages and cyan (T748XL220), magenta (T748XL320) and yellow (T748XL420) up to 4,000 pages each, each with a lifetime warranty.

WF-8090 Ink Packs — 748XL for a High-Volume Machine

Epson's product data places the WF-8090 in the same 748 compatibility list as the WF-6090, WF-6590 and WF-8590, with all three tiers available to it: standard, XL and XXL. Our compatible shelf is built on the XL tier — T748XL120 / T748XL220 / T748XL320 / T748XL420, up to 5,000 pages for black and up to 4,000 per colour on the ISO/IEC 24711 pattern — because that is the tier with a compatible ladder behind it.

For a printer in this class, the pack system is the economy: the PrecisionCore head never leaves the machine, and a replacement is a sealed ink pack with a green IC chip, changed colour by colour as levels fall. No set is sold for this family; order singles as colours fall.
